In which week can pregnancy be detected by ultrasound? Can a 1-2 week pregnancy be detected by ultrasound?

Once a woman think she could be pregnant, so she got an ultrasound done. The doctor said that she was in ovulationo and could see her egg. Could her egg be fertalised, and the doctor wouldn't have known?

Someone say that only after 4 weeks could pregnancy be detected by ultrasound. So she could do urine test after completing 4 weeks.

Actually, a vaginal ultrasound could detect a pregnancy very soon after conception.. within days. A regular abd ultrasound takes much longer however - maybe 6-8 weeks.

It is very early to be known in USG. It is better to do urine pregnancy test to confirm in initial stages of pregnancy. So don't depend on USG in very early stage. We do USG for the screening of any problems in the later stages of pregnancy.

From this, we know generally that 1-2 week pregnancy could not be detected by ultrasound. This usually take a longer time, until 4 weeks or more.
